Show what the word means
Can you show us what the word means before making us put it in sentences? I have to kind of guess when there is a word I don't know.

it is so annoying having to guess what they mean instead of trying to remember what they mean after learning them

There remains an assumption of some prior knowledge however like the suggestion reveals for new learners a simple prompt or cue such as a related image will help with learning.
