Tasty food

I'm having a bit of trouble remembering the word for tasty, it's ifo right, does that apply to all types of food or just some?

Yeah, it's ifo! I like saying 'Oku ifo 'aupito!' when something is really delicious. Makes me feel like a proper Tongan foodie. Have you tried saying it to your family yet?

I've tried saying it to my kids, they just laugh at me, but I'm determined to get better, I've been using the Asalei app and just got to unit 6 where it says 'Oku ifo 'aupito, do you use the app too?

I use Asalei too, mostly practicing in the car when I drive the kids to school. I always forget the phrases but 'Oku ou fiema'u ha me'akai' helps me tell my husband when I'm hungry. Do you find yourself mixing up words like me?

I'm the same, I get 'Oku ou fiema'u ha me'akai' and 'Oku ke fiekaia?' mixed up, my kids always correct me, but I'm getting better, I just said 'Oku ou sa'ia mo au he sio 'akapulu!' to them and they were impressed
